Shadowville.com went down at approximately 5:15PM EST today because of a serious virus codenamed Conficker that had infected millions of computers with internet access. What does this have to do with Shadowville.com? Because those millions of computers were manipulated by the virus to begin a huge denial-of-service attack spree on Register.com, the domain name registrar of 'Shadowville.com'. This in turn caused millions of other websites, in addition to Shadowville.com, to suddenly 'disappear.'

In other words, our servers were up and running, but there was no domain name address pointing to it.
