I have to disagree with being against the whole 'line flipping'. If you're creative enough, you can turn one line flip into a crazy punchline. It IS part of battling. There's alot of parts of battling, line flippin, punches, personals, etc. You should be using all of em in your verses.
And btw, this is why we suggested the ABBA format.
first person drops 16, next person drops 32, and 3rd person comes back with 16.
That way both ppl have a chance to flip lines.
