New Jordans 2017 is traveling back in time to share a new spin on the iconic “Be Like Mike” campaign alongside Gatorade. Making its debut in the early ’90s, the ads inspired viewers to channel their inner Michael Jordan in their own right. Over time, the spots would grow to go down in time as some of the most influential moments in sports advertising. Dressed in a Summit White, Black, and Team Orange color scheme. This Air Jordan 6 features a White upper with Orange overlays and Green Gatorade accents. Finishing off the theme is the sports drink’s lightning bolt logo on the lacelocks and insoles.
As a nod to the classic 1991 “Be Like Mike” Gatorade campaign, Jordans 2017 will be releasing the Air Jordan 6 Like Mike as part of an entire collection. 26 years later, Jordan Brand and Gatorade have reunited to share toady’s version of “Be Like Mike” through footwear and apparel. Within the footwear range is the Air Jordan 6 and Air Jordan 32 Low which both share a mix of orange, green, white and black coloring as an ode to Gatorade’s signature colors. Its apparel is comprised of a selection of T-shirts, shorts, jackets, hoodies and a few other pieces donning co-branding from Gatorade and Jordan Brand.
