would this gear make a good starters package? only startin out in the game and want to get hold of some decent quallity gear but dont want to buy new.
would i need anything else to start recording?
any feed would be appreciated.
also im in australia that kool?
Unfortunately bro, this was right when i got my Shure Sm7b mic, since then i have grown to dislike the shure for myself, ppl rave about that mic for hip hop which is why i got it but i think the GT-55 mic is better for me, so ive moved back to that
but now im thinking i should just sell my SM7b
Its hardly used though, so i would let it go for maybe $290 if you or anyone is interested in the Shure Sm7B

so ya the Fast track usb and the phantom power, art mp is still for sale and those are very bottom of the line starters.. there good to start out with and get decent quality. you wont be blown away but its a legit step up from plugging into the cpu a mic lol. I can record something with that as the chain if you or anyone would like to hear
Also another piece of gear i have that i would be willing to sell
ART Pro Channel Strip, Id sell that for $150 and it is barely used
I like the pres on it, theyre ok, and the compressor on it is very nice you can switch from opto/tube, it has attack, release, thesh, ratio..wide variety of controls (i think the compressors the best part of it) and it has a parametric eq if you wanted to use while tracking… personally i would only use it for taking a little bass out of my voice, or taking a little harshness off, other than that i never played with it much
heres a link to it http://www.sweetwater.com/stor…..roChannel/
reason im selling it is because i now have a dedicate preamp, and dedicated compressor that i still havent hooked up or tried :( its an FMR RNC and its just sitting there!! dah! i need cords…
if anyones interested with any gear mention i can record samples with each piece, whatever mic youd want to hear
