Jordans 2017 is officially releasing an Air Jordan 6 Gatorade inspired by Michael Jordan’s memorable “Be Like Mike” commercial with the sports energy drink. As a nod to the brand’s colors, this Air Jordan 6 will come dressed in White, Orange, Green, and Black color tones. Dressed in a White leather upper with Orange underlays, Black tongue and inner liner accented with Green Jumpman branding atop an icy translucent outsole. As a nod to those iconic MJ commercials, the tagline, “If I Could Be” is stitched on the inner tongues. The legendary design by Tinker Hatfield was like none other, drawing inspiration from sports cars with a spoiler-like heel pull and other unique design elements such as a neoprene bootie and holes in the tongue for quick on-and-off.
New Jordans 2016, One of the more anticipated Air Jordan releases of 2017 is the Gatorade-inspired Air Jordan 6, and today we have a first look at the version that is said to release to the masses. The white, orange, and green colorway is a throwback to the Gatorade logo colors, while the color-blocking mimics the classic “Carmine” Air Jordan 6 that released back in 1991. This Jordan 6 is inspired by the “Carmine” 6s MJ wore during his Gatorade commercial and they feature a Total Orange suede base with Summit White leather overlays. Other details include Black, detailing the tongue and midsole and a Green Jumpman logo on the tongue. “If I Could Be…” is stitched on the inside of the tongues.

Dressed in a White, Orange, and Green color scheme. This Air Jordan 6 comes with a few Gatorade-inspired details. Some of those include the slogan “If I Could Be” stitched on the inner tongues, and Gatorade branded insoles. But the best feature of the shoe is its lace-locks that mimics the classic squeeze bottles. Making its first appearance in 1991, the Air Jordan 6 included a few features that MJ specifically asked for, including a reinforced toe, holes on the tongue, and a molded heel tab along the back of the heel to avoid hitting his Achilles tendon. Like the shoe before it, this too was anchored by a translucent outsole.
