I wasn’t planning on quitting entirely. I just wanted to take a step back, and I needed to with everything going on in my personal life. I’ve still been mixing for a few people here and there. Still making beats here and there. I’ve laced some hooks in the past year. This was my first fully recorded song though. Thanks for checking it out.

Beat is hot, i see what you mean about making about your vocals not working on the track. To me, they alot softer than the track itself. Hook is cool by the way. The mix makes it kinda hard to hear all the parts of the verse but i like the concept of the song. The vocals def goda come up and maybe equal em out to me it sounds like alot of it cuts out, well gets alot lower in the middle of the lines. Kwl track if you get the vocals sorted. You charge for collabs im guessing?

Yeah, the vocals are coming off a little harsh and flat. I’m in the process of working on them some more. I think I’m on the right track, but I need to tweak some of the levels it sounds like. I’m probably going to upload a newer version soon because I feel like I need an extra set of ears on this one. I use to charge for collaborations because of my busy schedule. I still have a busy schedule, but I’m more worried about the content of the material that I work on now. I’ve switched over to Christian Hip-Hop, so I don’t want to be on any material that would be damaging to that cause. I would collaborate if the material has good substance/moral value. It wouldn’t necessarily have to be a “Christian” song, but it couldn’t be far off from my moral values and delivering a proper message to the listeners. I will consider ALL collaborations that fall under those guidelines. Again…. if I have the time to work with other people’s deadlines.

My usual processes/tricks aren’t working. This mix is going to make me work for it. My recent mix down sounds a lot better, so I’m moving in the right direction. Thanks for the feedback, and yeah I make Christian hip hop now….. Well this is my first song.
