who uses what program and brand of mic for recording cause my brother says adobe audition is much better than audacity(most likely true) but i use audacity who uses what?

I rock Adobe Audition 3 for recording / mixing. I clean up audio with Adobe Soundbooth CS3. I just use a Peavey presentation mic, it’s not very good.
