A total of 9 Indonesian U-23 national team players who have the potential to be dropped from the 2021 SEA Games squad will be discussed in this article. The coach of the U-23 Indonesian national team, Shin Tae-yong, called 29 names to undergo a training camp in South Korea ahead of the 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam on May 6-22 2022.

Of the 29 names called, six of them did not attend. They are players who play abroad such as Egy Maulana Vikri, Witan Sulaeman, Elkan Baggott, Pratama Arhan and Saddil Ramdani. Meanwhile, another name is Ramai Rumakiek, who is currently recovering from an injury in Jakarta.

9. Primary Arhan (Left Fullback, Tokyo Verdy)

Primary Arhan was almost certainly dropped. The reason is because the club, Tokyo Verdy, does not want to let go of the player, considering that the 2021 SEA Games is not on FIFA’s agenda.

8. AdiSatryo (Goalkeeper, Persik Kediri)

Persik Kediri’s goalkeeper was unable to compete with three other goalkeepers, namely Muhammad Riyandi, Ernando Ari and Andhika Ramadhani.

7. Cahya Supriadi (Goalkeeper, Persija Jakarta)

6. Kakang Rudianto (Defender, Persib Bandung)
