Microsoft PowerPoint is an interactive presentation software, developed by Robert Gaskins and Dennis Austin in a company called Forethought, Inc.. It was first released for Macintosh System OS based computers during April 1987, initially only for the Macintosh Mac. The slide show feature of the software allows a slide viewer to view one or more slides at a time from a specified menu and viewed in either horizontal or vertical orientation. A thumbnail view is shown which can be customized by the size of the window that is being used, while the full-screen mode provides the user with a virtual view of the entire presentation.The power point presentation also allows the user to create, modify and name the associated files of the presentations that have already been created. A new folder is created at the bottom of the presentation that contains all the newly added items. These files are saved in a separate location such as the desktop, and when the presentation is saved, these files will be opened in the same manner as other files saved in the desktop. Any changes made to these items are automatically committed to the new folder, making it possible to do multiple things in the same time without having to switch to different windows. This is possible since the associated files of the PowerPoint presentation are saved in the same location and can be viewed in the same way as other associated files saved in the computer.To continue, the user has the option to either zoom in or out, move the pointer over any item or to re-size the font. A drag option lets the user drags an item on the presentation page, this lets the user zoom in or out the picture and pans the presentation page to the specified position. A drop option brings the user a file that has been downloaded to the current session, the user can either drag or drop the file in the web page, or click on the Download button to download the file into the specified location. A push option is similar, but instead of drag and drop, the user has to click on the Download button, and drag the file from the web page. The user can also add a selection area or tick the box to mark the selected items that have been updated or changed, these options can be used to create an interactive look and feel to the power point presentation.
