I’m looking for equipment suggestion for recording.

I was using a desktop mic amp set up but wanna know if anyone else did this and what’s a good low static clear pick up for a mic amp combo I’ve had good experience with phantom and non phantom mics

I’m currently in the process of rebuilding my desktop it will have 16g of ram and a 3.9 ghz quad core or better processor but should I get a sound card as well if so what’s a good one
