We have all experienced the frustration of typing a search into Google and wondered why the results are returned so different or seemingly unrelated to the search query. Symbolic Search Operator
There are many symbols that you can use in your Google search to improve them for the results you want to see. Let’s look at them below.

Quotation mark “”
These symbols are not only used to write speeches, they also can be used when searching in Google. By putting a word or phrase in quotes, Google’s results will only produce the same words in the same order as you have put in quotes. This search is ideal if you are looking for a specific word or phrase.

This is a great search operators for those who are not sure a certain part of the query. When you type an asterisk next term, Google will try to find the best match for words as possible.

Minus Symbol -
When you use a minus symbol before a word or site in your Google search, excluding Google sites with the information from the search results. This is especially useful for words with multiple meanings and save you spend most of your day rolling through Google unrelated results.

Pipe Operator |
Pipeline operator works the same way with the word OR.
