Ppl ask me alot why I picked the name Strife Divine as my rap name.. Well, I went through a few names untill I finally decided that this was the right name for me.. First i was Lunitik Assassin(I know, fucken generic) when I first started spitten at age 14.. Then a few months later I changed my name to Protege the Infamous when I was heavy into listening to Mobb Deep.. Then I found my first online hip hop & battle forums called, “Homegrown Hip Hop Zone” and I wanted a name that would be good for battling.. At that time I think I was 15 n the game Final Fantasy 7 just came out a few months earlier n i was playin that shit like a mofo.. Well i liked the main characters name, Cloud Strife.. I looked up the meaning of Strife and felt it was perfect for a battle name so thats how I got the first part of my name.. Now for the 2nd half of my name I get alot of shit.. Most ppl dont even know what the word DIVINE means.. They think it means a, “beautiful” woman.. Well, that can be true but the real definition is a, “GOD” or somebody of godly worship.. I liked this name because it was the complete opposite of Strife.. Basicly Good & Evil..

I use to wear Playboy bunny shirts and shit back in high school, like fucking often. That and I tried to be a player back in the day so some people called me Playboy. I use to go by D.S.P. when I first started rapping. Dirty south Playboy. Dropped the DS but kept the Playboy. Once u get a name you need to stick with it. But alias never hurt. Well As For Me, I Always Ben The Sensitive type When it Came to Cruelty In This World. Kids Being Abused, Men Abusing There Ladies, Ppl Suffering withOut Food, Innocents Being Murderd, And All The negativity We All Go Through. I Seen So Much Pain in My Life. To Many Tears, Shit that Most ppl Couldnt Bare. So I Always Use To Right Down What And how i was Feeling About All These Different Situations. Then I Started Forming Them Into Rhymes Whitch Eventualy Turned into Songs. Started To Record On Beats, So i New i Was now into The Rapping. I Realized That all My Songs Werent About Money Cars And Hos. It Was About The Pain And Suffering. So I Decided To Name MySelf StreetzOfSorrow, Cuz Truth Is The Streets Is Full Of Sorrow And Pain. So Is The Life Of Many. Then Again The Streets Is full Of Rage. But After All The Rage And War. At The End Were Left With Sorrow, Reather Your The Type Who Dont Give A Shit Bout Your Sins Or No Regrets. The World Remains Spinning In Sorrow, Will We Make It To See Tommorow ? Thats How I Got My Name.

I got the name ‘milkweed’ from the movie “Blood In-Blood Out” after the character Miklo. Having to start at the bottom and fight continuously to achieve something and make it in this world gave me something to relate to. I have not always had the easiest road and had to get what I needed by busting my ass for it. Even though I have met with failure numerous times, I never quit fighting or stop believing that one day it will be my time…….and someday it will be.
