Hmm… I wonder what the state of the mind is like when you're able to smack piglets on the floor, slit pigs throats while they're hanging upside down. Of course they're animals, but I don't think I would be able to to personally do that. They're most likely normal people too, perhaps no psychological problems; yet I myself couldn't do it.. Weird indeed, because I feel no remorse when seeing a fight with someone getting their ass whooped.. truly hypocritical, yet I can't explain why. I don't hate humans, nor would I randomly attack someone, but I feel worse when watching these kinds of video than I do about a street fight or seeing bombs dropped.. and that, is trully messed up.

Confused

Same here.
I think it's because when I see a fight, both combatants are able to defend themselves, and fight back.

When someone throws a piglet onto the floor, it's completely defenseless.

Perhaps.. I mean when I saw the videos of Gaddafi's last few moments, I felt bad. Disregarding political views, he had complete fear in his eyes and that made me feel uncomfortable (if that even was him.. whoever it was though). Yet, should we really care about an animal that we will eat anyway?

I think that's almost parallel to caring about a human.

Because, after all, everybody's gonna die someday.

Should we care about an animal that we will eat anyway?

Should we care about a person who's going to die anyway?

nope..

it's human to be sympathetic, it's also human to be apathetic.. same reason if aliens attacked, each and everyone of you would step on anyone in your way to stay alive..

If I had to watch the way my meat was killed before I ate it, I would probably be vegetarian. I have trouble cooking burgers with blood in them because it completely kills my appetite. Luckily most meat I eat now is ultra processed; ignorance is bliss :D

I hate people who order their steak well-done. Might as well eat a brick of charcoal.
