Sorry if this has been asked several times but I used search and couldnt find anything relevant. Can you give me any advice on mixing my vocals in cool edit pro 2.1 (I know its better to use the likes of Cubase/Reason etc but im starting off easy)? I've only started recording today but even for my relatively cheap gear I still get pretty bad results.

I was following this tutorial

I know each person requires different settings but id be lost otherwise. Is this tutorial any good? Is there anything better I should be doing?

Appreciate any help!

i would suggest mixing vox in fl

alot of people dont like it but its crisp

listen to lil sam s**t, and eveything i mix vox wise is in fl

gets a way better master than cool edit

tip: look for one of the waves bundles and plug it into fl studio, then ur gettin into the good stuff
