i have a few quick questions about the beats on here.
if i don’t purchase a beat…..
1)can i rename the beat to whatever i want?
2)can i post it on my myspace, youtube, etc?
3)can i make a mixtape and give it to a record label?
4)can i even make a mixtape?
5)if i can make a mixtape, can i give it to ppl around me?
6)can i perform it at a show?
7)can you give me a mp3 of a voice saying “produced by shadowville”?
8)can i use the beat on a youtube cypher?
9)can i make a mixtape, sell it, and split the profit 50/50?
i gotta think of some more, lol. and whats the benefits of buying a beat? and how do you know if i brought one??

1) you cant rename the beat, but if you making a song with the beat, then you can name the “Song” what you want
2) Yes you can put it up on myspace, youtube…as far as etc. goes, as long as its nothing of you recieving profit, yes *promotional uses only
3) i’m pretty sure you can make a mixtape and give it to the record label, however if the label wants to use it, thats where your S.O.L because now your gonna have to go purchase all of those beats exclusively or lease them.
4) yes you can make a mixtape as long as you dont make any profit off of it (That rhymed: profit/off of it)
5) Uhm, yeah
6) yes
7) I dont get your question, you can always shout shadowville out, if you dont buy it, the least you can do is shout them out and give them the credit they deserve
8 Yes
9) No (just wondering though, split the profit with who?? shadowville? and if so how would you do that?)
The benefits of buying a beat is that if it is exclusively bought, it is yours to do whatever with, EXCEPT re-sell the beat. Exclusive benefits are: Unlimited everything (Radio play, selling of, etc…basically anything recieving profit)
hope this helps, im sure someone got to this before me since it was kind of long to respond to. and if any of my above statements are incorrect, please correct me i dont want to confuse anyone!
peace!

Well said, flipside, you pretty much got it right. Hell, if someone didn’t know any better, they’d think you’re a Shadowville sales employee — minus the spelling and formatting of course.
But yes, like Shadow said, you should also read the Terms & Conditions of free use right after you click the Download button for any beat on the site.
