What is the best way, other than going to a studio, to record lyrics on SV beats, or other beats for that matter. I listen to a lot of SV members music and note the quality differences from static to radio ready. What are some useful programs to download or are there specific programs that have to be purchased in order to do it. I do know someone that has a studio but both money and time are not available to go that route. What IS the ‘home’ remedy? Thanks for the feedback in advance…………

Well, much has to do with the mic difference. Like I have a compressor mic thought to be regulary priced at 200 or 300 a pop. Got it for 90 bucks because after christmas, many sound shops have deals on what they didnt sell, so invest into that.
Also, mixing is always a key. Some people just record 1 set of voice overs on the verse, n go, ok its ready. Well you have to have like 4-5 different sets of acapellas for voice overs n re done verses. You mix em all together to form a better quality sounding song. Good programs to do this are, Cubase and Adobe.
Time equals practice also. My tracks come out pretty clear, mostly because Ive been doing this for 4 or 5 years. But invest in a good mic and recording program and just practice more into the mixin side.
Get a ‘Pop Filter to. Them are necessary to having very clear speech.
Oh yea edit:
When recording, try and pick a small enclosed spot, say a ‘closet. Soundproof the walls to close off any reverb. Very easy to do, just staple or pin up alot of covers to cover ever sold piece of it, pillows, etc. Any cloth will work. Thats basics to creatin a home studio. Over time and investments tho, look into some soundproofing. N dont forget, the mic is ALWAYS important.

Again. I did not mean rapping. I meanth 4-5 years of experience in mixing and producing. We are talking about mic quality, not mic skills.
