To be fair - I havent listened in full to shock value 1 but the amount buzz when it came out was amazing. So I heard many of the songs on it and at the time Timbaland was killing everything. Besides shock value 1 he fully produced for Nelly Furtado's and Justin Timberlake who both had 2 massively successful albums. Timbaland rebranded himself and cemented his status as one of the best producers in the game. The hype for shock value 2 hasn't been the same. But its probably due to less marketing dollars spent rather than the actual album.Timbaland has said himself that he is going away from hiphop cuz he isnt feelin it that much except for jay-z, kanye and wayne. It shows as this CD is alot more pop/experimental based than Shock Value 1. But if you can appreciate all music this is a very good cd. Its a perfect Party CD actually. The only criticism is that he doesnt experiment to much and chooses to play it safe and ends up sounding the same on some songs. But if you are looking for something to boost your mood i would recommend this cd. I wonder what sv3 will have in store for us. Overall I would say its a 4/5 (the ratings on metacritic are not really fair. The reason they rate it low is because when you are timbaland there are big expectations)

Lose Control ft Jojo - Feel good Track, not smash hit, but possible charting single but its not bad 3.5/5

Me in the Middle ft Bran Nu - Brandy raps in this song. Its a good song about repairin relationships, alot of potential here, the beat is real fresh 4/5

Say Something ft Drake - beat is nice…not really sure of the message here…Drake is aite but not that great 3.5/5

Tomorrow in a Bottle ft Chad kruger - Now this is what im talkin about. This is timbo experimenting and killing it. Chad fits perfect on here. 5/5

We Belong To Music ft Miley Cyrus - feel good track not bad at all actually its nice 4/5

Morning After Dark ft soshy n Nelly Furtado - Smash Hit. Very Catchy  but wtf does he mean by “when the cats come out the bats come out to play”…4.5/5

If We Ever Meet Again - Experimental Timbo killing it again 4.5/5

Can You Feel It - Real smooth, real good feeling like you wanna party all night 4.5/5

Ease of the Liquor - Alot of synths on this beat. Sounds like a 2018 beat from ADP.As a song its ok 3/5

Undertow - Rock based song. Different sound, nice though 4/5

Timothy where have u been - talks about his career, his hiatus. Nice Beat not a bad song. 3/5

long way down -  upbeat rock song not bad 3/5

marching on - rock song that sounds really nice talks about enduring stuff. 5/5

the way i love ft keri hilson - this is a miss. the way i are >>> this. 2.5/5 but the beat is good.
