So i'm trying to record on this beat that's just way too loud during the verses. I recorded as loud as i can without sounding like i have turrets and its still not loud enough. I tried turning the beat down and turning my vocals up, but then it just sounds like i've mixed it really bad. It sounds like i'm just having the beat in the background when i do that.

anyone got any fixes? btw im using adobe audition 3.0

you could try compressing the beat and throwing a limiter on there. not the most professional fix, but it might help a bit.

This isn’t underground. No, this is deeper then that. This is below the underground. This is music from hell.

i tend to run into that from time to time, if your using mixcraft like i do…all i do with the beat is jus reduce its volume by 20% doesnt affect the quality or overall sound right? so it makes my vocals come in more clear…and the beat is still loud enough for it to be fully heard but with your vocals in there….

but i recommend doing what chris said first, sounds more logical LOL

lol, i only say that because he says only the verses are like that. if the whole beat was peaking i would say just lower the beat volume lol

just turn the volume full max on everything, an yell your rhymes as loud as possiable, then amplify the f**k outta the vocals, turn down the instrumental volume like halfway, some reverb, flanger, mix that s**t amplify it again, normalize that s**t at some point too,do it a couple times wtf you know? smash it into a mp3, badda bing badda bomb. hit track
