No, we don't “”all want to be signed to a record lable…”

I would like to practice hip hop as lyricist. I think you can convey a lot more with words than just what they say. I'm a fan of artistic writing, so I'd like to bring that to hip hop.

No offense, but you mean that if you were approached by a major label, or even an independent one, you wouldn't sign on the dotted line?? How do you expect to expand your “views” and artistry to people? Just by staying on myspace? No.

As for the question, I personally don't have any 'goals.' I just love literature. Stories, poetry, lyrics, etc. I do it for fun. It keeps me balanced in this crazy lil thing people call life.

From my point of view Guns/Cars/etc is all a part of the culture of Hip Hop. It's the way I live, so obviously i'm going to rap about it.  I've been raised in an environment where you gotta defend yourself pretty much all of the time, or you'll end up 6ft under and pushin up daisies before your next birthday.  Don't get me wrong, a LOT of my lyrics are about more serious things, and likely represent a lot of what I think you are standing for, but hell, if all the songs were so serious… hip hop would be hella boring…  besides I like cars.
——————————————————————
As for my goal - I'm aiming for the sky, plain and simple.  Why?  Because music is everything to me, and if you aim any lower than that, you are a retard.
——————————————————————
And yes, I do believe I have that potential.  And yes, I do intend to proove it.

I don't have goals I have destinations.  A goal is something you hope to achieve.  A destination is where you're heading and where you are going to end up at.  It's one thing to say what you want it's a whole other to believe it.  And if you don't believe in yourself (in anything) than why should anybody else.  Dues has been paid-I'm bout to fuck tha game up!  Doubts=fuel.  Keepin it rollin on my way to my destinations.

To be honest, I'll say what everyone here is thinkin, but doesnt want to say..

Im broke as shit and I see an oppurtunity to make a living or more. It isnt about goals, its about what I like to do, and Im sure what I like to do may be something someone else loves to hear. That in return will make me a profit. If you see that view as destroying the culture of hip hop, look at it this way. Would you still rap, if you knew you couldnt make any profit of it? Of course you would. But, would you give up everything to do it? Nah you wouldnt. I dont like working 9 to 5's, so I make music. Simple and Plain.

Personally I would like to make a quality CD, not for the fame and fortune, but to say I accomplished what so many others fail to do…….I grew up on hip hop/rap and followed it almost from its beginnings and it has always been part of my life…….so to be able to put my concept and idea of hip hop out in the form of a CD would satsify me, even if I was the only one to buy it……
