sellin tapes makin albums sendin to companys that actully accept em (most dont) advice: if you send in your tape make sure you by the phone at all times cuz i got a call back once and i tried to call them back but them companys dont anser or read there messages i left 23 message on that phone

Im basically at rock bottom.
I'm known by a fair amount of people, according to ReverbNation I'm #7 in the county of my province.
I'm workin on saving up my money to get a decent mic and/ or some studio time.
I live in the middle of nowhere, so the only person I can really chill with very often is my boi Sewer Rat, me an him have a ghetto-ass studio of our own - were stuck with MP3 player beats and a tape recorder, then we transfer them to computer lol.
I'm working on getting some tracks recorded and transfered so I can get em online. Does anyone know what a good mixing program is and where to get it at?
Once I get a good mic, I'll start looking into a mixing program.
Any feedback or help would be appreciated.

I'm the self proclaimed greatest of all time…
But, I think the only way you can make moves is by performing live and building a fan base. Also try getting on local radio shows. Labels want artist who already have a pretty big fan base,less work and money for them.

I feel like I'm starting to get my feet a little wet as well.. lol
especially with my album, and who will be on it.. it will be really nice for promotion for me. Also, once I sign the legal contract for uprize legacy, I'll be in pretty good shape for where I'm at right now.
Although, I haven't performed live yet… I'll admit that… lol. I have to though. I been offered several times.. mostly house parties/bars but I turned them down for now until I feel I'm ready.

withing the next 2 weeks im buying mic interface pro tools all that good s**t an set up my studio
just go a beat wit a bay area legend on it
and im hoppin on a track with other big well known bay area artists

Damn, looks like most of yall are makin moves. I think the game could use a couple SV emcees blowin up and giving the airwaves some underground influence,
As for me, I've done a couple concerts, I got one coming up on the weekend. Also, I have 2 photoshoots in the works for album/mixtape art, web design and such, plus a music video that looks really promising coming up at the end of the month.

I been working with GoldMinded records, working on an E.P. with a producer on this sight called Klagen, and just leased 15 nice professionally done beats to finally work on a for profit project. Once I got some nice tracks written and ready to perform and have stepped my freestyle game up (again) then its time to take a crack at some shows and just connect with peeps wherever possible.
Its nice being able to meet peeps on the internet to collab with, but my first primary goal is just getting known locally and working with likemindeds around here. Thats about where I stand. I'm noticing great improvement everyday. Things are looking up.

I'm not too serious into this whole 'rap' thing. But it is 'fun' though. Just another outlet to release my frustration/excitement/anxiety/Feelings.
Sounds like everyone else is doin big thangs though.
