Personally, it ain't about “making it.” For me it's about doing what i love doing… writing. Whether it be short stories, poems, or some spit! It makes me happy and that's why i keep doing it. It's also a plus that i love listening to music and creating music. Don't stop doing what you love! =]

Well..
Hip-Hop/The Art of Rapping is a lifestyle, not just a profession. Some people shouldn't take it professionally, but just because you don't, doesnt mean you have to quit rapping.
As for the “there are so many hotter emcees, that there's no point in wasting your time”, I'm sure all of these 'hot emcees' started out with the same complex. It's called not comparing yourself to them, and doing you. Sure, it's hard to listen to a raw emcee, then listen to your ish, n see the flaws in it and how more skilled they are to you, but I guess that's what decades of practice does. They didn't just get their talent over-night, it took years..

Music is my addiction… it started out as a hobby, to get me out of the world I lived in, and once I experienced the high that I get from creating it I didn't want to stop… And just like any addiction it's just grown from that… Everything evolves with time… and the more time you put into something the more progress you will see…

I hear ya, Dot. There are times when I've felt like giving up…
but then I put in some Soulja Boy and realize “WHAT THE FUCK?! I'M WAY BETTER THAN THIS GUY, AND HE'S PAID! I CAN DO THIS!!”

Feel like almost everyday. but when it comes down to it, I aint worried about making it big so much as I would like to change lives or just inspire someone. If I could just have my music be appreciated I would be set for life. I am pretty religious so I know that if God could use me to further someone else's spiritual walk I would be thrilled.
