if i remember correctly, you must sign a document for leases and full purchases so they would recieve a signature there. Should the card be stolen it is out of Shadowville production's hands (as far as im aware) the card company must be on top of things as should the card holder by addressing the stolen or lost card to their company and they cannot retain the money by taking it away from shadowville as its not their fault. that much i do know cuz it happens at my old retail store all the time.
however that chargeback thing i dont know about…But i am aware that when the link for digital download is sent, slantize or whomever checks the activity of the link will be notified for any downloads. And if it comes to the point where they tell paypal that they did not recieve the ''goods'' or ''service'', paypal would lead an investigation which would take sometime to follow through, and in shadowville's defense they have proof of download from the link-they can easily register the i.p address and forward it to paypal and paypal can make a formal request to the local police to warrant (usually dont even need it these days with cable companies) to reveal the address of the i.p etc….thats my assumption though, dont know for sure.
