According to prosecutors, Brelo then exited his car and climbed onto the suspects’ car hood and fired 15 shots down through the windshield into the victims when the suspects were no longer deemed as a threat, a main reason why only him was criminally charged.

Geo TV said that the U.S. pilotless aircraft fired two missiles on a car believed to be carrying suspected militants in Shawal area of North Waziristan, a semi-autonomous tribal area along Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Identities of the killed insurgents have not been determined yet.

The drone kept on hovering over the area before and after the strike, causing panic among the residents.

Monday night’s strike was the ninth of its kind in tribal areas of Pakistan since the beginning of this year.

So far more than 55 people have been killed and many others injured in such strikes in the country this year.

SANYA - A cruise route, linking the city of Sanya in the southernmost Hainan Province with the Xisha Islands in the South China Sea, opened on Tuesday afternoon.

About 200 tourists are aboard the maiden voyage on the Coconut Princess, which will take 12 hours to arrive in the Xisha Islands, according to Ye Wei, deputy general manager of Hainan Strait Shipping Co., the cruise operator.
