Mainly because I could relate to it more than any other genre of music. I listen to all kinds of music, but hip-hop is the one I identify more with. Rappers like 2pac, Biggie, Nas, Eminem, Rakim, N.W.A. etc. they all have songs I really relate too. So one day I decided to pick up the pen and it just happened. Mostly now I do it for fun, but there are sometimes I use it to vent.

i started rapping because i exceeded in poetry even before, and i caught an interest in the Texas artist Chamillionaire, bought my first album (”The Sound Of Revenge”) and fell in love with the art of Hip-Hop. I actually started about a year and a half ago, and ever since I came in contact with the Shadowville forums, I have gotten advice and experience to help me improve dramatically in just a short time.
And my life is quite a mess in its own, so I write a lot of sad/mellow tracks, and any giddy-goofy track I have is actually a story behind some true negative events, just exaggerated and trying to make it appear a bit funny.
I would like to continue this thread. But I would like it if someone would put it in the proper forums section.
